Today, Churchward Chapel had the honor of receiving Mrs Makereta, the widow of Mr Sokra’a, the esteemed builder of our beloved church. Accompanied by all her children, including Pastor Samisioni of the Hanisi Mission AOG visitation (la’a) was a poignant reminder of the legacy and dedication of Mr Sokra’a, whose efforts laid the foundation for our place of worship and community
The visit was marked by heartfelt reflections and expressions of gratitude for the contributions of Mr Sokra’a. Pastor Samisioni and Makereta’s children led the visitation in a moving tribute, highlighting the
Rev Fonmanu Varea, Fumarae Pure’ Vamarasi Sai and Han Hue Pure who warmly received Pastor Samisoni with gratitude and appreciation.
As we continue to build on the foundation laid by Sokra’a, we are reminded of the words of Psalm 127:1 (NIV): “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.”
The Churchward Chapel community extends its heartfelt thanks to Makereta and her family for their continued support and dedication. May the legacy of Sokra’a inspire us all to work together in faith and unity
