Island Breeze and YWAM Share the Gospel through Pacific Cultural Dances at Churchward Chapel
Suva, Fiji – September 25, 2024
Churchward Chapel was filled with joy and worship tonight as Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and Island Breeze performed at a vibrant church service, sharing the gospel through captivating Pacific cultural dances. Leading the evening was Rudy Valle from Maui, Hawaii, who inspired the congregation with powerful messages of faith and unity.
The service, enriched by the energy and passion of the Island Breeze team, featured traditional dances from across the Pacific, blending faith and culture in a meaningful celebration.Rudy Valle, a seasoned leader in YWAM, encouraged the congregation to see their unique cultural expressions as instruments of God’s love.
Joining the evening’s service were brothers and sisters in Christ from the Nazarene Baptist Church, who added to the spirit of unity and fellowship that flowed throughout the chapel.
Reverend Fonmanu Varea of Churchward Chapel was presented with a special gift: a traditional hook. Symbolizing the role of a fisherman, the hook carried deep spiritual meaning, reflecting the calling to “fish for people,” as mentioned in Matthew 4:19, where Jesus says, “Come, follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people.” The gift was a powerful reminder of the mission to draw others toward God.
Looking ahead, YWAM and Island Breeze will embark on a two-week tour to Rotuma this Friday, where they will continue to share the gospel through their unique blend of culture and faith, strengthening connections between the islands and fostering spiritual growth.
The evening served as a reminder of the richness of Pacific traditions and the strength of the Christian community, united in their mission to share the love of Christ.
