Children’s Palm Sunday Celebration at Churchward Chapel

In commemoration of Jesus Christ’s victorious arrival in Jerusalem and the recognition of Jesus as the Messiah, our Churchward Chapel children engaged in theatrics, action chorus, and bible verse recitation today.

John 12:13 (NIV): “They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel!'”

The children’s performance was a beautiful representation of the joy and reverence felt on Palm Sunday, as they enthusiastically welcomed Jesus with palm branches and praises. Their dedication to honoring this important event in Christian history was truly inspiring for all who witnessed it.

A unique moment called “Naag ne Hosa” honouring parents, grandparents, and other departed loved ones was one of the today’s highlights. During this time, placed flowers and offered prayers in remembrance of their loved ones. The atmosphere was filled with love, respect, and gratitude for those who have passed on.

Churchward Chapel’s Palm Sunday celebration was not just an event, but a testament to the chapel’s commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth of its younger members. It provided an opportunity for the children to understand and participate in the traditions of their faith, fostering a sense of belonging and community.

As the service concluded, the smiles on the faces of the children were a heartwarming sight. It was a day of faith, learning, and most importantly, fun. The Churchward Chapel continues to shine as a beacon of faith.

With blessings in hand, Reverend Fonmanu Varea wishes a happy Children’s Sunday to all the Children.
