A Gift from the Father of Lights
James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Indeed, this verse rings true when Churchward Chapel congregation, extending to family, friends, and visitors from around the world witnessed the launching of the new livestreaming cameras. It was unveiled by Churchward Chapel Circuit Minister – Rev. Jioje Taito on the 4th of December during the 2022 Christmas Cantata.
This is the continuation of the journey that began amid the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020 which prompted Churchward Chapel to use livestreaming technology to reach out to its congregation.
The first livestreamed service was on Resurrection Sunday, April 12, 2020 with a very basic setup using a mobile device. We are truly thankful and grateful for those that generously gave at its inception, and for which continues today.
We have witnessed the mighty hand of God, in not only connecting our congregation here in Fiji, but to believers and seekers of the Christian faith extending to the rest of the Fiji Islands and Rotuma, and to the rest of the world.
Livestreaming of its services is one of many plans that is in place to fulfill the Great Commission that our beloved Saviour, Jesus Christ gave to us before he ascended to heaven In Matthew 28:19-20 when he uttered, 19 Go therefore andmake disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
